IEE showcased People Counter at ICT Spring Europe 2018 in Luxembourg

IEE was proud to showcase our People Counter at ICT Spring 2018 taking place 15-16 May, 2018.
Presented at Luxinnovation stand, the visitors were able to explore a unique installation demonstrating our 3D MLI technology in combination with an interactive video display designed by the Luxembourgish artist Steve Gerges. Based on the notion of connection and exchange in a social environment, the main goal of the installation was to visualize human interaction during gatherings in a confined public space. Using our PC and a custom written software, the computer generated real-time visuals of people’s interactions represented on screen through simple shapes.
People Counter is based on the optical 3D Time-of-Flight technology. With its unique tracking and segmentation ability it offers an accuracy above 99.5% and enables applications such as occupancy monitoring, wrong-way detection, flow monitoring and dwell time calculation.
The next generation sensors will be unveiled at Security Essen in September 2018.
