This internship will be located in Contern and is limited to four weeks.


Main responsibilities are:

Two climatical testers create a very high noise level when in operation. These testers are chambers of approx. 1m3 volume with integrated systems that produce internal environmental conditions from -40°C to 85°C with a variable humidity. The noise created by the testers seems to be amplified by resonances of the complete system design.

The project will include a study in order to locate the noise-source, development and implementation of a solution to reduce it to an acceptable level, and the compilation of a final report.

This project will be an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and ambitious engineering student looking to gain valuable hands-on experience at an international company.

The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:

Student of engineering or machine building
Excellent understanding of technical acoustics and noise reduction of machinery
Fluent in English, German and/or French is an asset
Key skills: ability to work autonomously in an international environment, creativity, team spirit and a pro-active attitude are imperative.
