Touchpads

When devices in the car interior need to recognize text or certain gestures (for example to allow drivers to easily navigate through, or input information into menus or phone systems) touchpads are the ideal solution.

Capable of detecting x and y co-ordinates on a plane of any shape, touchpads take the voltage generated at each co-ordinate and create user-drawn curves that can be used for drawing, writing or navigation.

Incredibly versatile, touchpads can be based on Force sensing Resistor (FSR) or capacitive technology, depending on the required functionality.
