Sliders and Scrollers

Thin, durable and flexible, IEE’s sliders and scrollers are ideal for devices in the car interior requiring touch-sensitive and intuitive navigation, such as audio, phone, HVAC (heating, ventilation and air-conditioning) and navigation systems. While, in principle, both sensors are based on the same technology, sliders allow movement along a straight line and scrollers detect movement along a circular path.

Sliders and scrollers can be activated using minimum force. While they deliver a voltage signal that is equivalent to the position on a path, they can also be configured as an array of switches by adapting the measurement algorithm.

Sliders and scrollers can be based on Force sensing Resistor (FSR) or capacitive technology, depending on the required functionality.
