The IEE sensing technology, integrated in millions of cars and many consumer products, is from now on used in a completely different domain. Integrated in cinema seats, the new innovative sensing system provides a quick overview of the behavior of the audience. The device is able to detect if a seat in a movie theatre is occupied or not. The new Kinepolis complex in Bruges (Belgium), that opened its doors in the beginning of July, is equipped with the so-called "intelligent seat system", developed and distributed by Quick Sensor, using sensors manufactured by IEE.

An IEE sensor is used in a Samsung product since the beginning of this year. The product in question is a new MP3 player with 2 or 4 gigabytes of flash memory. The IEE sensor is used as an input medium and control of the MP3 player.
