As consumers are demanding hand-held devices with smaller and thinner user interfaces and more versatile functionality, IEE develops sensors for man-machine interfaces (MMI) consistent with our innovative approach, including switches, touch pads or scrollers. Unlike conventional switches, which have the limited capability of just turning on or off, our smart input devices enable the user to access a wider range of functions through a simple touch. Based on software-adaptable sensing, our sensors are lightweight, thin and flexible, and offer the option of fully integrated backlighting.
